OperaTor is a portable software bundle which allows you to browse the web anonymously. It combines the power of the Opera Browser, Tor and Polipo.
With OperaTor no data will be stored at the computer you plugged your portable memory into.
Subscribe to updates via the OperaTor RSS feed.
OperaTor weights 7 MB and is Windows only. After the download is finished:

The only protocols which OperaTor anonymizes are HTTP and HTTPS, thus if you want to stay anonymous you should avoid using other Opera features (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Bittorrent, integrated e-mail and IRC clients).
OperaTor comes with absolutely no warranty. It is the user's responsibility to test whether the connection is secure. Users should keep in mind that OperaTor relies on Tor (The Onion Router) and Polipo and any security questions should be directed to their developers.

OperaTor is my clear first choice.
For road warriors - and the truly paranoid - Operator is well worth a test drive.
Softpedia guarantees that OperaTor is 100% CLEAN, which means it does not contain any form of malware, including but not limited to: spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors.
Keep your Web surfing private with this portable, anonymous browser.

AutoUpdate
As you probably know, Opera 10 now has Auto Update. In About:Config there is a configurable field to set the update server it uses.. Maybe it'd be a nice addition to make OperaTor update itself? Without having to always come here for it :P
OperaTor 3.4
OperaTor 3.4 http://www.ddown.org/…perator-3-4/
Will there be upgrade?
I'd like to ask, if there is any progress in this project. There is already
new TOR version → Tor 0.2.1.19
new Opera → 9.64 or 10 (I still prefer 9.64)
and I'd like to ask, if there could be used Opera Portable instead of ordinary Opera. Portable has some changes like Flash blocker and Graphics blocker which I find very good.
Also is there a possibility to implement I2P here?
Thanks in advance for answer.
Which download link should I use ?
It appears there are two downloads…
OperaTor 3.3 – PBwiki (http://operator.pbwiki.com/…aTor-3.3.zip)
OperaTor 3.3 – My Opera (http://files.myopera.com/…aTor-3.3.zip)
What are the differences, advantages and disadvantages, of the two downloads ? How do I know which one I should use ? Is it the same file at different download locations ? No info seems to be given unless I overlooked it somehow.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks John
Which download should I use
OK, I see where it was posted that they are both the same file. They should just put the word Mirror next to one of the downloads.
Thanks John

Hello. Thank you for this
Hello. Thank you for this incredible program.
If I may impose on your blog, I'd like to ask a general purpose question that is very hard for me to find a conclusive answer to.
Using OperaTor I can keep my real IP private for http and https connections. But what happens if I register on an online forum site? That site wants me to enable cookies (no java, javascript, referrer or plugins needed). Can a site implement cookies that reveal the real IP of a visitor even though their http or https connection shows an IP from the OperaTor network?
In short, if I allow only proxies (Tor) and cookies and keep everything else disabled would that be OK in terms of keeping my IP private?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Opera Turbo + Tor
Is there any plan to make Opera 10 + Tor? Can we get a browser has opera turbo and tor features?
Yes and no. I've just
Yes and no. I've just released OperaTor 3.4 which includes Opera 10 but you have to keep in mind that the Turbo feature, when enabled, makes unsecure connections to an Opera server.
